About Jonte

Jonte Adeolufowobi also known as Kehinde is a junior with a 4.0 GPA.  Jonte plays basketball and is a part of FBLA. He is also a musician and an entrepreneur. His clothing brand is named Uprising Art.

Jonte grew up with a passion for fashion and clothes, eventually leading to the rise of his brand. He created his logo on his late friend's birthday in 2019, but didn’t officially start selling clothing until late 2021, early 2022. He states his clothing brand is his way of expressing his feelings, his beliefs and just overall himself. Uprising Art sells a variety of apparel such as  hats, shirts, beanies, and hoodies. Jonte says “Uprising Art is all about uprising, evolving, and becoming your best self.”

Shifting gears into his musical pursuits he started off making and selling beats, but his mom convinced him of a bigger picture. She helped him realize his beats were his brand and just letting anyone rap about anything on his beats shouldn’t be sufficient enough for him, and it wasn’t. That was the start of Jonte rapping in early 2024, as he said in his interview it really made him think because he’s good at rapping, wordplay and poetry then he might as well use his beats to put a positive message out. He doesn’t apply the same exact logic to his clothing brand because although he expresses himself in both his music and his clothing brand he says it differs in the style but they do have similar philosophies.

Jonte plans on taking his music and clothing as far as he possibly can in the future. He aspires to continue selling clothes and putting music out in the world. Drawing from his own experiences, he would like to motivate upcoming entrepreneurs and artists by stating  “If you want to do something and have the passion for it, just do it because nobody can tell you that you can’t do it. Just stick with it, keep grinding, keep working, and always stay true to who you are unapologetically.” He would also like to shout out his family for keeping him motivated and grounded throughout his process of building not one but two brands.
