Benjamin Franklin once said “There are no gains without pains” many people live by this quote our school softball team showed that during their intense game vs Creekside. Even though it was a loss for them the game kept everyone on their toes and Mays showed their hard work and dedication on that field.
Star Player Addison Jennings, the pitcher of Mays High School softball team, committed to Howard . Addison's expectations for the Mays Vs Creekside game was to win and to see everyone having fun and doing their best . Addison expected to bring home a win . Jennings says that “ Just to see everyone having fun and doing their best is all that matters “ . I say that Addison has great team spirit and a real heart for softball. She says that praying and really just focusing on the game helps her get in a winning spirit . Some words that Jennings says to younger softball players are “ Just Keep Going “ , “ You never know who's watching you” “ To always do your best “ . Addison Jennings' motivation and passion for softball shine through in her play and attitude."
Creekside had a strong first inning with 3 home runs scoring a total of 9 runs. The slow start of the game made it hard for the softball team to recover later in the game .Mays wasn’t able to get the bats hot while Creekside had another strong inning with a home run adding another 9. Mays bats were heating up but it wasn’t enough as they only scored 1 run and Creekside closed the game. Mays Softball team was disappointed about the loss because they didn't play at the level they were respected at .
